Who can enroll in health coverage through Explore Health?
Before you can enroll in a health plan through Explore Health, we must confirm that you qualify for coverage.
These rules apply to health and dental plans offered through Explore Health.
Who is eligible?
To enroll in a health plan through Explore Health, you must:
- Live in Oregon or have plans to move to Oregon in the next 60 days
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawfully present in the United States
- Not currently be incarcerated (except while waiting for court proceedings or trial)
When you apply, you'll be asked to provide information that helps verify your eligibility.
What information may be checked?
Explore Health may check information like:
- Your Oregon address
- Immigration or citizenship status
- Other details needed to confirm eligibility
You may be asked to provide documents if more information is needed.
Financial help is not required
You can apply for health coverage through Explore Health whether or not you qualify for financial help.
Some people may qualify for:
- Lower monthly costs
- Help paying out-of-pocket medical expenses
- Oregon Health Plan (OHP) programs
When you apply, Explore Health will help determine what programs or savings you may qualify for.
