Types of help available to you
Oregon Health Plan: The Oregon Health Authority approves community groups and insurance agents who help people apply for the Oregon Health Plan.
Medicare agents: These licensed insurance agents can help you sign up for a Medicare plan. Only an insurance agent can suggest which plan might be best for you.
Marketplace (HealthCare.gov): Insurance agents and some community partner groups can help you apply for financial help and pick a private plan on HealthCare.gov. Only an insurance agent can suggest which plan might be best for you.
SHIBA/Medicare counselors: They can answer questions about Medicare and help you sign up, but they cannot suggest which Medicare plan is best.
Small Business: These insurance agents can help small businesses pick and sign up for a health plan for their employees. They can also explain the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit.
