The advisory committee consists of 15 members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Oregon Senate, representing insurers, insurance producers, navigators, health care providers, businesses, consumer advocacy groups, enrollees in health plans, and medical assistance agencies. The Department of Consumer and Business Services director is the ex-officio member. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term.
The Health Insurance Marketplace Advisory Committee (HIMAC) is looking to fill vacancies
The Governor's Office is seeking applications from the consumer advocate community and health insurance marketplace enrollees to fill vacant positions on the board that advises the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace.
The position is appointed by Gov. Tina Kotek and confirmed by the Senate for a term of two years.
HIMAC advises the Marketplace about outreach, customer feedback, and insurance plan affordability. The committee also develops policy recommendations at the request of the governor and the Oregon Health Authority. These functions are vital to the Marketplace, which helps Oregonians enroll in and use health insurance through HealthCare.gov and other programs.
Applications are processed through Workday. The HIMAC is listed as Health Insurance Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Committee.
- Applicants who are already board members applying for reappointment and/or current state workers, apply at orhim.info/3HBfyWT. Log in with your OR number and search for the board or commission you would like to apply to. Use the "Apply" button to submit your application.
