The HIMAC is looking to fill vacancies

The Governor's Office is seeking applications to fill positions in the committee that advises the Oregon Health Insurance Marketplace. We are looking for a medical professional, Marketplace or private health insurance enrollee, a member of an American Indian / Alaska Native community, and a Marketplace community partner organization representative or a community advocate.

Committee positions are appointed by Gov. Tina Kotek and confirmed by the Senate for a term of two years.

HIMAC advises the Marketplace about outreach, customer feedback, and insurance plan affordability. The committee also develops policy recommendations at the request of the governor and the Oregon Health Authority. These functions are vital to the Marketplace, which helps Oregonians enroll in and use health insurance through HealthCare.gov and other programs.

Applications are processed through Workday. The HIMAC is listed as Health Insurance Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Committee.

  • New applicants should apply through Workday. Use the "Apply" button to submit your application.
    • You will be instructed to create a Workday profile using an email and password.

Please fill out your application in Workday by July 6, 2024. People of diverse backgrounds and people from all areas of the state are encouraged to apply.

Members should be able to regularly attend three-hour committee meetings, contribute to policy discussions about the future of health care in Oregon, and spend one to two hours each month preparing for meetings, which are held virtually and in-person on a Thursday in the months of January, April, June, October, and December.
