"I was in the Marketplace for insurance pre-pandemic but could only afford a bronze plan and at the time, only one provider was available to me. The co-pays for my diabetic medications were over 2k a month. I was buying insulin from Canada because it was cheaper.
After the American Rescue Plan Act more providers became available and I was able to sign up and afford a better, silver plan. My cost now for diabetic meds has lowered to approx $150 a month- a HUGE savings that has resulted in better health for me. I'm able to get all the insulin I need now, I am no longer rationing the insulin and I'm able to take what I need to keep my A1C in control."
